The Summer Game Fest has replaced E3 as the most important video game show in the world. Host Geoff Keighley has been presenting new games, updates and more here for years. MeinMMO is there live and shows you all the new information, games and trailers in the ticker.
The livestream starts on Friday, June 7th at 11pm German time. The show lasts around 2 hours, so it’s in the middle of the night for us.

There will be more streams in the days following the Summer Game Fest, including the Wholesome Direct on Saturday and the PC Gaming Show and Xbox Showcase on Sunday. The Steam Next Fest will then start on Monday.

Summer Game Fest 2024 – All new games and announcements
What new games will be shown? Geoff Keighley has already announced that there won’t be too many world premieres this year (via Kotaku), so don’t expect to see a ton of new trailers for games coming out in the next 2-3 years.
Instead, the focus will be on updates and expansions. We already know that New World is planning something big. The strong suspicion here is that there will be an announcement for the MMORPG on PS5 and Xbox.
Since Activision and Blizzard will be at the Xbox Showcase, it is also likely that there will be new information about the respective games – such as Call of Duty or Diablo 4, where the expansion Vessel of Hatred is due in 2024. Maybe there will even be something about the new project from the WoW makers:

With the muted expectations, it is completely unclear how good this year’s Summer Game Fest will be. At the moment there are many service games and franchises where active players would be happy to see new content. But those looking for something new will probably come away empty-handed.
