The first raid in Warcraft Rumble has been playable since June 5th: Molten Core. The raid and its iconic final boss Ragnaros are likely to be well remembered by any World of Warcraft veteran. And even those who didn’t see it back then probably know at least the legends surrounding the raid.
What kind of raid is this?
This is new in Rumble: You can enter Molten Core in Warcraft Rumble since June 5th. The raid has 7 bosses in Rumble, including the well-known names Lucifron, Garr, Baron Geddon and of course Ragnaros. Shazzrah and Gehennas are in the game as double bosses, Majardomu Exekutus is completely missing.
The update itself is free, but you must meet some requirements:
Instead of 40 players, as in the original version, you only need one friend. Molten Core is a co-op raid that you can complete with two people. However, the other player must be in your guild.
If you want to check out the raid, you’ll have to hurry though. The gates will only be open from June 5th to June 12th at 7:59 p.m.
“The stupidest thing they could think of”
Molten Core itself has received mixed reviews from the community, if you look at the comments on Reddit. There, it says, for example, that the battles are well done and it’s fun to fight your way through the levels.
At the same time, it is a real challenge. You have to put in a lot of effort to defeat the bosses. On the one hand, that is good because it creates excitement. On the other hand, even players who have been playing since release have problems making any progress at all:
Molten Core is waaaaay harder than Stormwind. I literally don’t have the levels to do it and I’ve been playing with the Arclight booster since launch. Can’t tell you how much fun it is, I’m completely outleveled.

What bothers most people is that they need a fellow player. There is no group search tool with which you can find a partner – or simply a solo mode for the raid.
Many guilds are not active enough to find a co-op player at any time. Some players believe that Molten Core actually makes them play less because they can’t look at the content anyway. Meanwhile, the “big brother” World of Warcraft is working on exactly the opposite: WoW: You can defeat the final boss in the first raid of The War Within solo
