— We received a number of alarm calls at 10:40 p.m. about explosions and suspected shooting from Selma Lagerlöfs square and a garage. A patrol was on the scene fairly immediately and found a man with a gunshot wound who was unwell there. The garage is cordoned off for a technical examination and the police have opened a preliminary investigation into murder.
— We work with several different tracks and both external and internal reconnaissance. There are reports of a car leaving the scene quite quickly but then we don’t know if it’s a coincidence or if it has something to do with it, but it’s interesting to get any tips and information, no matter if it seems insignificant because it could be an important piece of the puzzle, says Jens Andersson.

The police do not want to provide any further comments about the man who was shot dead at this time. According to information to GP and SVT it concerns a well-known and acclaimed rap artist, who has been awarded several awards during his career.
— He is a 25-year-old man, but we can’t say much at the moment, we’ll have to wait. Right now we are compiling what we know about him, says Jens Andersson.
