1. Wash all clothes before putting them away

2. Make sure to hang the right clothes on hangers

Choosing hangers that suit each garment is important. For example, garments made of silk and cotton should have padded hangers so as not to lose the fit.
4. Package the clothes in vacuum bags
If you have larger garments that need to be packed away, you can advantageously put them in vacuum bags. This makes it easier to store and also keeps potential pests away.

5. Refrigerate your fur coat
Fur can attract pests while not in use. A good trick can therefore be to store it in a cool room. There are special tailors and fur shops that offer cold storage during the summer months.
6. Prevent pests with herbs
Moths do not like the scent of either lavender or cedar. Therefore, storing your winter clothes with this can prevent moth attacks on the clothes.
