Popular tourist resort can fine careless tourists
According to the newspaper, local shop owners lose The Sun up to 30 percent of their income due to rogue street vendors. These often lack permission to sell on the spot and, unlike more serious stores, often sell illegal pirated copies of various types of souvenirs.
It’s no secret that Spain is a popular travel destination. Tourists have also set their sights on the Spanish islands of Playa de Palma, Magaluf in Mallorca and Sant Antoni de Portmany in Ibiza.

Watch out for the souvenirs – can cost SEK 2,300
There are many tourists who are looking for souvenirs. On the Costa Blanca, the unknowing tourist can be fined if he buys from unscrupulous street vendors. There must be plainclothes police on site who keep an eye on the street vendors and fine those who buy from them.
The maximum fine is SEK 2,300.
So far, only the Costa Blanca has made this decision. However, authorities on the Costa del Sol also want to fine tourists who buy from unscrupulous operators, something that has not yet been implemented.
