A dramatic rescue operation has been underway at the famous tourist destination Preikestolen in Lysefjorden during the morning.
One person, who belonged to a smaller tour group, had slipped off the edge onto the plateau.
“With the help of a rescue helicopter, a person was found about 200 meters from the plateau,” the police write on X.
According to VG, the place is very slippery. The plateau has been evacuated and closed until the body is recovered.
The Preikestolen rock formation attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year.
