The Russian Federation (Rurik) received money from the Agency for Youth and Civil Society Affairs (MUCF) to promote Russian integration in Sweden. At the same time, the association received around one million from Pravfond, a fund with ties to Russian intelligence, reports say SVT News.

Since 2014, Rurik has received around three million kroner from MUCF. Last year, the payments were stopped after information about how the union’s chairman spread propaganda from the Kremlin. They also demanded back over half a million kroner.

The documents on Pravfond come from a European intelligence source and a number of European media are collaborating on them. Among other things, the fund has financed legal aid for everything from ordinary Russians to agents and torpedoes.
