According to Reuters, the president Macron and the mayor of Paris Hidalgo have even promised to jump into the Seine themselves to show that the clean-up measures have been successful. Hidalgo says he will swim in the Seine on June 23.

The poop campaign in question is now protesting the price of the cleaning project. The authorities have put about 1.4 billion euros into the river cleaning project.
