TF1 found something better than Mask Singer, the show changes broadcast day on this date

TF1 found something better than Mask Singer the show changes

TF1 is shaking up its schedule with a programming change for Mask Singer. The flagship Friday evening show will migrate to another day.

Season 6 of Mask Singer got off to a flying start a month ago now, on Friday May 3, on TF1. The famous singing competition, where personalities hidden under costumes each more original than the other compete, has already revealed Raphaël Mezrahi (the Robolapin), the cartoon character Ladybug (the Wig), Gloria Gaynor (the Ice Queen), The Creole Company (the Hand), Jacques Legros (the Hamster),
Chantal Goya (the Pop-Corn), Vincent Desagnat (the Cornichon), Catherine Lara (the Lemurian) or even, in the last prime this Friday, the singer Shy’m who hid behind the mystery guest costume of the Flocon and Inès Vandamme (the Dragonfly).

Mask Singer, which attracted no less than 3.1 million viewers for its first number, has since plummeted in the Friday audiences, systematically falling behind Criminal Tropics on France 2 and even at 2.82 million last Friday, its historic low. Will investigators Kev Adams, Laurent Ruquier, Chantal Ladesou and Inès Reg continue to look for who is behind the costumes still in the running? The episodes have obviously already been recorded, which should push TF1 to continue its season at all costs.

But Mask Singer will still experience a major change in its programming. TF1 has in fact decided to move its schedule to make room for another program. According to information from Ouest-France, on Friday June 14, TF1 will prefer to broadcast the opening ceremony of Euro 2024 football, followed by the inaugural Germany-Scotland match, commented live by Grégoire Margotton, Bixente Lizarazu and Saber Desfarges. The show hosted by Camille Combal will be broadcast on Saturday evening. An upheaval which occurs in the middle of the season and which could continue. But not necessarily for the same reason…

The following week, while M6 will broadcast the France-Netherlands match, a huge poster this time, TF1 could draw a line under the evening’s audiences and broadcast entertainment on the biggest unforeseen events on television… The channel has not yet communicated on this decision. We will therefore have to wait a few more days before finding out more about the days of the next broadcasts of Mask Singer on TF1.

This change in programming during the season is in any case a first for Mask Singer. Until now, and since its launch in 2019, the show had always kept its Friday evening slot. It remains to be seen how viewers will react to this new situation. Fans of the show can, however, rest assured: this change of day should not impact the broadcast of season 6. TF1 intends to complete the planned episodes, which will therefore last until the beginning of summer. Enough to give investigators time to unmask all the celebrities still in competition.
