A man has been taken to hospital by ambulance in connection with a drowning accident at lake Furen in Moheda, outside Växjö, the rescue service says.

The rescue service came to the scene after a caller alerted that a person had disappeared during a swim, according to the rescue service’s command operator.

The alarm came in at 4:40 p.m. and the person was pulled out of the water 15 minutes later.

The extent of the damage is unclear.
