Here is the mistake Swedes make when grilling

The award-winning star chef Tommy Myllymäki runs several restaurants, and also appears regularly in various television programs. Among other things, Tommy Myllymäki has earned the title “Chef of the Year” and also a victory in “Kokkarnas kamp” on TV4.

When Markus Aujalay left TV4’s long-running “Sweden’s Master Chef” after 12 seasons, it was none other than Tommy Myllymäki who had to take his place. Since 2023 it is thus Mischa Billing, Tom Sjöstedt and Tommy Myllymäki who make up the tough Master Chef jury. But on a daily basis, Myllymäki runs the Michelin restaurant Aira in Stockholm.

With summer just around the corner, many Swedes have dusted off the grill for the season. But is there something wrong that Tommy Myllymäki often sees when it comes to grilling? That’s what he told News24.

– The most common mistake you make when grilling is to serve cold seasoned butter. Grill the meat and then you have hot butter or tempered butter. Not hard pieces like this that you cut so that the meat gets cold and everything gets cold, says Myllymäki and adds:

– Other than grilling, most people today can do it reasonably well, I think.
