In September 2023, Twitch streamer NoWay was attacked while staying in France. The perpetrators were later identified and have since been convicted.
What happened to NoWay back then? In September 2023, Twitch streamer NoWay was in France to cast the LEC finals with Tolkin.
After dinner, NoWay was threatened outside his hotel by two men, first with a gun that later turned out to be fake, and then attacked with a kitchen knife. The two perpetrators’ target was apparently his Rolex, which he eventually gave to them to prevent further damage.
The two perpetrators were identified a few months after the crime and have since been convicted.
The perpetrators face a prison sentence
What punishment awaits the perpetrators? NoWay reported in his stream on Twitch on May 29 that the perpetrators were indeed caught. But that is not all, because they were also convicted.
Both are said to have received a 2-year prison sentence, plus a year’s probation. In addition, the perpetrators must pay 20,000 euros for the watch and in compensation. According to NoWay, both perpetrators were convicted of assault and armed robbery.
When asked in his chat whether he thinks he will see any of the money at all, he answers with a clear “yes”. He reports that the regulations in France are different to those in Germany and that criminals have to pay into a fund that is paid out to the plaintiff in such cases. He also reports that he is already receiving monthly payments from this case.
