Top American politicians have invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to address Congress.
The invitation comes from Republicans Mike Johnson, the speaker of the House of Representatives, and Mitch McConnell, the Republican leader of the Senate, along with the Democratic leader of the House of Representatives Hakeem Jeffreys and his party colleague Chuck Schumer, the majority leader of the Senate.
No date has yet been set for the speech.
Having Netanyahu speak before Congress is seen as support for an ally at a time when Israel is under increasing criticism due to the war in the Gaza Strip.
The speech is also believed to highlight the divisions in the US, with a growing number of Democratic congressmen turning against the Israeli prime minister while his support is growing among Republicans.

Donald Trump speaks after the historic verdict.
He blames his political opponents.
– I have been under gagging. It’s all Biden’s fault. They are destroying our country, he says during a press conference.
The ex-president was convicted on all 34 charges. Among other things, for having falsified documents to hide a sex scandal that threatened to sabotage his 2016 presidential campaign.
But he continues to deny that he has committed any crime.
– The trial was rigged, it was a scam. We shouldn’t have had that judge. We are dealing with corruption in our country. We had a corrupt election and this is corrupt.
Trump claims that the trial against him and the verdict are part of a big political “witch hunt”.
– This is bigger than me, it is part of something bigger. But the people of this country are smart and they understand that this is one big scam, Trump said.
– Biden is the worst, most incompetent, stupid and dishonest president we have ever had. He is a great danger to our country. The only way they think they can win is through lawsuits like this. But we must show them that we will fight and win.

You should probably double check the stated temperatures in the post about the heat wave in Mexico City.
Eve
Hello Eva! I also thought it appeared like very low record temperatures in Mexico City, when we had 38 degrees in Målilla. But this 34.7 degrees actually seems to be the heat record in Mexico City, writes concurring international media. The fact that it doesn’t get warmer seems to be because the city is located in a valley at a very high altitude.
