You don’t necessarily need a subscription to channel packages to watch TV. A PC or a Mac and an Internet connection are enough to enjoy the direct as well as the replay of the TNT channels.
Television is no longer confined to the only television set in the living room. From its early days in 1999 until today, IPTV – understand Internet TV – has taken hold in many homes. If your Internet service provider offers you a television offer, reception is done through your box and therefore via the Internet, whether you have an xDSL, cable or fiber connection. And since the flows pass on the Web, you can also benefit from them on your computer! Convenient when the television breaks down or when it is already taken over by a family member.
And to take advantage of it, there are two methods. The easiest way is to use the app Molotov.tv available for Windows, macOS and even Linux! After having created a free account, you have, within a clear interface, a direct access to the 27 channels broadcast on TNT (digital terrestrial television) and nine others. The service also offers to watch the replays made available by the channels. Also free, the other solution is more restrictive, but avoids installing an additional application on your computer. Here, a simple web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.) takes the place of the small window. It only remains to choose the most comfortable service to redirect you to the websites of different TV channels. All offer direct access and replays. Be careful, however: some, like the channels of the TF1 and M6 groups, require the creation of an account to access their content.
Watch TV on your computer with Molotov.tv
Founded in 2016, Molotov.tv is today the easiest way to watch TV on a PC or Mac. This free app requires you to create an account to access both live and replay programs. In the free version, it does not allow you to record programs.
- Start by installing the Molotov.tv application by downloading it to your computer.

- After installation, the interface is displayed. Click on the yellow button Create an account.
- Provide a valid email address and set a password (or use the buttons at the top of the form if you want to log in with your Google or Facebook account to save time. Specify your age and gender and click Register.
- Click on the button Not now in order to decline the free trial of the paid version (billed € 3.99 per month at the end of the first month). You can change your decision later.
- The Molotov.tv interface is now displayed. At the top of the window are the current promotions. Below are listed in the form of thumbnails, the programs currently being broadcast on all the TV channels included in Molotov.tv. Finally, in the left pane, the different filters are presented to quickly find a specific channel, a documentary, a series, a children’s program, etc. broadcast live or available in replay.
- To watch a live channel, click at the top of the left pane on the button Watch Live TV.
- The display immediately switches to full screen mode and presents the program broadcast live by TF1 (the first channel in the list by default).
- Click at the top right on the icon in the shape of a remote control.
- A flap then unfolds to the right of the screen. It presents the programs of all the channels currently being broadcast, organized in the same order as on your television. Just click on a thumbnail for the desired program to appear on the screen.
- Click on the small cross at the top right of the channel shutter to close it. Then click on the symbolizing button two arrows at the bottom right so that the image occupies the entire screen.
- As on your box, TV broadcasting through Molotov.tv benefits from the advantages of Time Shifting. You can thus pause a program (by clicking on the button Pause or by pressing the space bar on the keyboard), advance in the program to return to direct or go back a few seconds by pressing the right or left arrows on the keyboard or go back to the very beginning of the broadcast program if you ever missed it by clicking on the curled arrow at the bottom left.
- When you want to end a broadcast, click on the big cross at the top left of the image.
Watch TV on a computer with a web browser
Without the need to install any app, you can watch Freeview TV channels live in your usual web browser. To avoid multiplying bookmarks for each channel, multiple websites like TV-Program, Playtv, or Free Webmaster offer the list of current programs and available replay and allow you to access them in a few clicks by redirecting you to the channel’s official website. You may need to register with the latter to take advantage of the program. Here is the procedure to follow, for example with TV-Program.
- Connect to the site TV-Program. The site presents the evening TV program.
- Activate the menu Right now placed at the top of the page. The list of live broadcasts is displayed.
- Place the mouse pointer over one of the programs to find out more about it.
- Click on it to watch it. A new page appears in your browser. Click on the gray button where the mention appears Live.
- A new page is displayed. You must now activate the play button placed in the center of the image.
- You are redirected to the website of the TV channel. Click on the play button in the center of the black rectangle. The live broadcast starts.
- You can switch to full screen mode, adjust the volume, return to the start of the program or even display the subtitles using the icons placed at the bottom of the image.
- If you want to access live or replays of channels from the TF1 group (TF1, TFX, TMC, LCI) or from the M6 group (M6, WP, 6Ter, Gulli, Téva, etc.) you must create an account on MyTF1 https : //www.tf1.fr/ or 6Play https://www.6play.fr/.
