New biome: The Wasteland

Chapter 5 Season 3: Crash is all about the Wasteland and fast, tricked-out cars. New locations include the Redline Rig, Nitrodome, and Brutal Beachhead.

The location Snooty Steppes was also adjusted and renamed Sandy Steppes. How this was adjusted was not revealed.

Chapter 5 Season 3: Fortnite Festival Patch Notes

Here we list all the new features for Fortnite Festival.

Professional main instrument and the professional bass

  • You can now play the Pro Main Instrument and Pro Bass on any console and PC, even without a supported guitar controller.
  • Key mapping support for the professional main instrument and the professional bass for keyboard and mouse
  • You are now able to consistently play HOPO notes without picking them.
  • No matter which part of the song you select, there is now the option to display the note tracks as multi-colored gems (similar to the Pro Main Instrument or Pro Bass).
  • A new option has been added that allows you to turn the input labels at the bottom of the tracks on and off. This setting defaults to “On” for parts that are not played with a professional instrument, and “Off” for parts that are played with professional instruments.
