The series “Reacher” will have a third season in 2025. A casting decision has now been announced that has excited fans. The new addition is particularly impressive due to his enormous height.
Who is the new character in season 3? Jack Reacher has appeared in two films and the Amazon Prime series in recent years. However, the character originally comes from the novels of thriller author Lee Child, who had to give his approval for certain changes in the series.
Fans of the books will be pleased that a character new to the series comes directly from the literary original. It is Paul Masserella, who appears in the novel “The Janus Man”. The character is the bodyguard of the main villain Zachary Beck and goes by the affectionate nickname “Paulie”.
In the book, the character is described as “a very tall guy.” He is even six centimeters taller than Jack Reacher, who is already huge. It was not an easy task for the series’ casting department, but if the fans are to be believed, those responsible have found the perfect candidate for the role.

The greatest bodybuilder in the world
Who plays Paulie? As has now been announced, Dutch bodybuilder Olivier Richters will take on the role. On his Instagram profile, he describes himself as the “greatest actor and bodybuilder in the world.”
His dimensions are impressive: Richter is 219 centimeters tall and weighs 160 kilos. In comparison, Reacher actor Alan Ritchson seems downright small at around 195 centimeters. In the new season, two big men will meet each other, who will probably not just chat together.
Actor Anthony Hall, who plays the main antagonist in season 3, reveals:
This character (Paulie) is alive in the show, and they have an epic battle. I don’t want to give too much away, but yeah, they definitely meet like they do in the book. Olivier Richters already has experience in the action genre. He has acted in films such as “Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Fortune” and “Black Widow”. Reacher actor Alan Ritchson is also flirting with the superhero genre.
