To cut a long story short: Anyone who was hoping for a return of Max actors Tom Hardy or Mel Gibson will be disappointed. Neither of them appears in the film. Her figure does, however.
Her appearance is easy to miss for some viewers: After Furiosa is attacked by Dementus’ (Chris Hemsworth) hordes at the so-called Bullet Farm, she collapses while fleeing in the desert. Suddenly Miller shows how a mysterious stranger watching her slumped body from a hill.
Next to him is Max’s famous car, which is known as the Pursuit Special or V8 Interceptor. Shortly afterwards, Furiosa wakes up in a cave full of putrid bodies. It is not clear whether the unknown person got them there.
