“Absolutely the toughest decision of my career”

Edvin Anger completed the big dream last season.
By reaching the very first individual podium of his career at the World Cup.
Now the Swedish skiing talent reveals his “toughest decision in his skiing career”.

Expectations have long been high for the young sprint specialist Edwin Anger. Last season, the 22-year-old from Hedemora managed to reach the best result of his career so far.

Anger’s success

During the sprint in Davos, Anger managed to get on the podium for the first time ever in an individual World Cup race. Just one month later, the Swede managed to do it again with the second individual podium of his career at the World Cup.

Then the skiing talent ended the season in the best way by winning double SC gold during the SC week in Boden. Preparations have now begun for the coming ski season, and then the big goal of the World Ski Championships in Trondheim 2025 awaits.

Tough decision

But now it is clear that Edvin Anger is making a decisive change for next season, which he himself describes as “the hardest decision of his career”. He has decided to change his ski brand for the coming winter and is emotional about the tough decision.
“From the time little Edvin started dreaming of becoming a professional skier at the age of 6, to where I stand today, I have always skied red. Starting with the 24/25 season, you will see me in new colors. It has been by far the toughest and most difficult decision in my skiing career so far,” he writes himself on Instagram.
“I want to say a big thank you to Madshus. We have always worked towards the same goal, and without you I would never have been where I am today”.

It is still unclear which ski brand Edvin Anger will switch to. But on Instagram, he is supported with hearts and uplifting words in the comments section.
“Nice of you, but it will be fine,” writes one user.
