Many quiz fans dream of being in the guessing chair of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? to prove. But the latest Sunday edition had a nasty trick up its sleeve: in the big surprise special, the unsuspecting candidates were selected from the audience. Only the accompanying persons know who has been secretly registered. It was therefore impossible for the guessers to cramme up the facts beforehand. When one of the spectators finds out that he is suddenly supposed to sit down in front of Günther Jauch, he is amazed – and cannot stop himself from cursing.

“I hate you” – candidate is emotional about Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? surprise

Normally the candidates from Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? They can hardly believe their luck when they get the much-coveted chance to win millions. But in the surprise special of the RTL long-running hit, everything turns out differently: one candidate seems visibly overwhelmed by the fact that he is supposed to spontaneously take a seat in the guessing chair in front of Günther Jauch. When he realized that his colleague Melanie, who was traveling with him, had secretly registered him, he punished her with harsh words, according to FOCUS Online: “I hate you!”

However, Melanie has a good reason why she sends her work colleague into the ring so coldly: since her own participation in Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? Andreas jokingly claimed that he would go much further in the fight for millions. “I just want this competition to end”she reasoned.

However, it wasn’t enough for the million-dollar jackpot. After the cheeky candidate had already burned the public joker with the 1,000 euro question, he ultimately had to settle for 16,000 euros. His colleague Melanie was able to earn 32,000 euros at the time – one question ahead. Particularly annoying: Candidate Andreas even answered the question correctly, but he didn’t want to take the risk.

At the end, moderator Günther Jauch can’t resist a tip. “You are the provisional, if not eternal, number two,” he concluded.
