Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca answered journalists’ questions after the Cabinet Meeting held at the Presidential Complex under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. When a reporter asked whether there were any problems with the Approved Appointment System that was put into practice last week, Koca said, “I can say that there is no problem at the moment. We could not use 30 percent of our capacity, especially due to disloyalty and last minute cancellations. In this sense, in terms of loyalty, our citizens who came to their appointments “I can say that there has been a significant increase in the rate,” he said.
“WE WILL CONTINUE TO FIGHT UNTIL WE SOLVE THE PROBLEM”
Koca said the following when asked by a journalist about the increase in the number of citizens following the implementation:
“We have the Coordination Board Meeting tomorrow. We will evaluate it in the Coordination Board. We will announce the one-month results next month. We will announce the evaluation results openly to all media. Our main agenda here is to provide our citizens with faster access to health care. All our efforts and efforts are for this. Both in our provinces We make evaluations by visiting our hospitals one by one, especially our city hospitals and training and research hospitals. When necessary, we go down to the point of clinical and unit evaluation. The aim is to continue working until we can ensure that citizens can access health care in all branches, but we see problems here. “We are working hard to solve the problems in those branches and we will continue to fight until we solve the problem.”
“WE SPEND ALL OUR WORK ON SOLUTIONS”
When a journalist asked whether there will be new projects for health services, Minister Koca said, “Our top priority agenda now is to meet the demands of all our citizens who demand health services in the fastest and most appropriate way. We are spending all our time on a solution. We will not have a higher priority agenda until we solve this issue.” “There is a solution and we will all see that we get better results soon,” he said.
