To this day, director David Ayer (The Beekeeper) never tires of emphasizing how different his director’s cut of the film would have looked. We’ll probably never see Ayer’s “real” Suicide Squad. But one came five years later brilliant sequel to the cinema: The Suicide Squad by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy) fulfills every promise that its predecessor failed to fulfill.

Tonight The Suicide Squad celebrates its free TV premiere.
