More disturbing than Game of Thrones? After House of the Dragon Season 2, you will hate Daemon Targaryen
In Fire and Blood, George RR Martin describes, among other things, the cruel chronology of the Dragon Dance. After Lucerys’s death, Rhaenyra falls into indescribable grief. Her husband (and uncle) Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) does not want to let this bloody act go unpunished and then has his confidant Mysaria (Sonoya Mizuno) name two men Hire blood and cheese to get revenge.
In King’s Landing, the men attack Alicent Hightower and her daughter Helaena (Phia Saban), who is faced with an impossible and perfidious decision: She should choose which of her sons the men should kill. The alternatives? Even more unimaginable. The situation ends with the beheading of the young heir to the throne, Jaehaerys. With the child’s head in their luggage, blood and cheese escape from the Red Keep.

House of the Dragon – S02 Trailer (German)
Among fans, this harrowing scene is considered one of the most disturbing events in George RR Martin’s works and (if staged appropriately) could trigger similar reactions to the Red Wedding in Season 3 of Game of Thrones or the burning of little Sharin Baratheon in Season 5 cause.
Anyone who has been completely on the side of the blacks and despised the greens for their actions might reconsider this decision after “Blood and Cheese” in Season 2. Fan favorite Daemon in particular is likely to lose some sympathy points as the indirect person who ordered the child murder.
