The experts trick how to remember all your passwords

Remembering passwords can be difficult. Especially when you have to have one for Facebook, another for e-mail and a third for the work computer. But there is a tool that means you never have to forget a password again.

News24 have talked to Måns Jonassoninternet security expert at the Internet Foundation, who shares a trick that will help you stay on top of your passwords.

Never use the same password

Do you usually have the same password for all your logins? Then it’s time to stop it.

– You should absolutely not have the same password in several places. Then it is enough for a password to be cracked for the hacker to gain access to all or several of your accounts, says Jonasson.

But having several different passwords can really complicate it and it’s easy to forget which password applies on which platform. It doesn’t end there, Jonasson also points out how important it is that you create a unique password.

But he also tells a trick for both creating strong passwords and remembering them – that is to use a password manager.

– It’s a small program that can both create difficult passwords and remember them for you. There are many to choose from, but I recommend Bitwarden, he says.
