The teams G2 and T1 compete against each other in the MSI in League of Legends, with G2 suffering a defeat in their first meeting. Despite hope for improvement, G2 also lost the second meeting, which led to their elimination and did not surprise the community.
What game is it about? Teams G2 and T1 are currently competing against each other along with many other international teams in the MSI (Mid-Season Invitational).
In their first meeting, G2 could not beat the world champion and suffered a 3-2 defeat. On May 17th At 11 a.m. they should have another chance to turn things around.
Huge defeat for G2
How did the game end? The second meeting was even worse for G2 than the first after they were confident at first. They lost to T1 3-0. While they were literally overwhelmed by the world champions in the first game, there was still hope in the second and third games that they might be able to make it.
In the second game, G2 was initially able to gain an advantage, but they were unable to maintain it as the game progressed. Shortly before losing the second round, a Quadra kill was achieved, which temporarily postponed the defeat, but the hope was quickly dashed by Faker, who sealed the second defeat.
The third game didn’t really go any better for G2, resulting in a loss and G2’s elimination from MSI. The players were visibly affected after the defeat. The post-game interview with G2’s top planner, Brokenblade, had to be cut short because he was visibly fighting back tears.
How does the community react to G2’s departure? In a discussion in a Reddit thread, many users did not seem surprised by the defeat, even if some did not expect such a clear defeat.
This is what users write under the thread:
