The coalition parties do respond positively, such as D66. “This spring memorandum presents a good and balanced solution between the major financial challenge facing our municipality and our plans that are so important for the city and its residents,” says group leader Maarten Koning. “The austerity measures contained in it are inevitable. But important issues that contribute to better education and equality of opportunity, affordable housing construction, and greening our city stand proud.”
