Three people have died and two have received life-threatening injuries in a fire in a residential building in Düsseldorf, Germany. A total of 16 people were taken to hospital.
The fire broke out during the night towards Thursday in a kiosk located in the building. The fire spread to the entrance and upstairs, the rescue service said in a statement.
Several people were rescued from balconies in the house.
According to the police, the cause of the fire is not known.
