Ebba Andersson’s fine words after the tough year – now praised by the Swedes in the best way: “Remember that”

It has been a tough year for Ebba Andersson.
Now she opens up about the setbacks that have been.
And at the same time praised by the Swedes in the best way.

Just over a year ago was considered Ebba Andersson as one of the world’s very best skiers after a great performance at the World Ski Championships. She was crowned WC queen with two gold and two bronze medals – but the last season was extremely tough for the Swede.

Andersson sick

Expectations were obviously high for the Swedish ski star and the winter also started really well at the World Cup. Andersson secured two World Cup victories and a total of four podium places already before Christmas.

But then the season took a completely different turn for the 26-year-old. Ebba fell ill with covid and was forced to break the Tour de Ski prematurely, which then had consequences for the rest of the World Cup season.

Everyone supports Ebba

The disease left a big mark and Ebba Andersson did not manage to find her way back to top form again. The end of the season was therefore a long battle and the top positions were not achieved.

Now she opens up about the tough year and ideally wants to put it behind her to recharge for the new season – where the big goal is the 2025 World Ski Championships in Trondheim.
“The memory bank is full and the learning back is fully packed. Thank you to all of you who showed & show your support in both good times and bad times. Time to start pressing the gas towards a new season!”, writes Ebba Andersson in a nice post on Instagram, see below.

Ebba has tremendous support among the Swedish people, which was shown when she won the coveted Jerring Prize at the Sports Gala at the beginning of the year. Now the Swedes are once again doing their best to support Andersson after the setbacks, see the picture below.
“A big good luck. You are a real fighter,” writes one user on Instagram.
“Thank you for this season! Really looking forward to the next one,” writes another.
“Good luck Ebba, it sounds fantastic. Remember to smile and have fun. There are many of us who want to see you and your national team mates for the winter. We long. You are amazing,” writes a third.
