The action remake Road House launched on Amazon Prime Video in March and quickly became the streamer’s most successful original film of all time. After the blockbuster with Jake Gyllenhaal cracked the 50 million view mark in just a few weeks, setting a new record, the film has now become a whole 80 million times streamed.
So it’s no wonder that Amazon wants to continue to build on this tough success and has now officially confirmed that it is one Sequel to Road House will give.
Road House 2 with Jake Gyllenhaal comes to Amazon after mega success
As Variety reports, Gyllenhaal will reprise his role in Road House 2 tough bouncer Dalton Hatch. Part 1 was a remake of the 1989 cult classic of the same name, which starred Patrick Swayze.

A sequel to the film followed in 2006, in which the Dirty Dancing star was not seen again. Instead, a new figure was placed at the center. It is unlikely that the Amazon sequel will be based on this sequel.
Doug Liman directed Road House from a screenplay by Anthony Bagarozzi and Charles Mondry. In addition to Gyllenhaal, Daniela Melchior, Billy Magnussen, Jessica Williams, Lukas Gage and Joaquim de Almeida can be seen in the action hit.
When will Road House 2 with Jake Gyllenhaal come to Amazon?
A launch date for Road House 2 on Amazon Prime Video has not yet been set. Since the project is still in its infancy, a publication is expected not before 2025 or 2026 to be expected.
