– I am very grateful that I had the chance to come here and show myself. It is of course a dream to play for Tre Kronor and to represent Sweden in a World Cup. It’s always something big and glorious so there was no hesitation in coming here. I am very grateful that I have been given the chance to be here, he says in an interview with HockeySverige and dreams of World Cup gold.
– Of course, it’s something I’ve always dreamed of. To win World Cup gold with Sweden, that would have been one of the greatest feats one can do. So that would have been incredibly fun and I think we definitely have the team to be able to do that.

Opens for SHL

After the season, the contract with the Sabers expires and “Goalofsson” is set to leave Buffalo to move on in his career. The plan is also to remain in North America and this summer he will be free to negotiate with all NHL teams.
– Yes, that’s where I want to play. I think I have the qualities to play there. I think I’ve had a lot of good seasons over there too. I always want to play at as high a level as I can and that’s where I want to be, he says in the interview.

– Yes, it’s done with the brother at home so… We’ve always dreamed of playing together, but I must say that I definitely want to stay over there. Then, as I said, there is always a dream to be able to play together and to play for MoDo would have been the ultimate dream. But right now I think I have a few years left over there and, as I said, want to be there, he tells the hockey site and admits that he has been in contact with Modo’s sporting director Henrik Gradin.
– Me and “Hinken” have a really good relationship. We’ve known each other since anyway since I started playing it feels like. I’ve had him as a coach for many years as well, in junior hockey and TV puck but also in MoDo’s A team. I have a great relationship with Hinken.
