Munro was previously awarded the Booker International literary prize for his entire production in 2009. He also received several literary awards in his own country.
Among Munro’s works translated into Finnish are Public Secrets from 1995, The Messenger from 2008 and Viha, ysttví, rakkušu from 2010.
