Sun all week – it will be warmest here

In several places in Sweden it has become summer.

And the heat seems to be continuing.

– For the first time this year, I actually left home without a jacket, says Väder-Lasse.

According to Klart’s meteorologist Lasse Rydqvist, almost all of Sweden can count on summer weather this week.

– The summer heat is here in almost the entire country, he says.

It will be dry, sunny and warm.

In fact, the temperature is between two and twelve degrees above normal for the season.

– We will generally be at 18-24 degrees in large parts of the country until Sunday. As early as tomorrow we can have a new high for the year, with up to at least 26 degrees, says Lasse Rydqvist.

It is above all Svealand and eastern Norrland that get the highest temperatures – but even up Västernorrland and Västerbotten the high summer heat can strike.

The only exception to the dry summer weather is northern Norrland, where it may rain a little on Wednesday.

Enjoy – the cold is lurking around the corner

That it is warmer than usual here in May is due to a low pressure from the American east coast and a high pressure from Central Europe, which together created a southerly warm air stream up over Sweden.

However, there is some cold air pushing in from the north – but according to the latest reports, the heat can hold out quite well, even into next week.

– Then the exception is northern Norrland, where the cold comes, says Lasse Rydqvist.

Leave the jacket at home

Meteorologically, it is now summer in almost all of Götaland and Svealand, and it may spread to parts of Norrbotten and Västerbotten.

The exception is the Lapland mountains and parts of northern Norrland’s interior where it is still winter.
