The Sweden Democrats believe that the proposal that has now been presented is a well-balanced compromise proposal, but that they would like to see even less money for public services. Among other things, they think that the organization should be reviewed.
– I am happy that more and more voices are being raised to merge the companies, for example. To increase cooperation between the organizations both at local, regional and national level. That there are savings opportunities is quite obvious, says Alexander Christiansson.
The opposition instead wants to give more money to public service, because they believe that public service has an important role to play in a troubled global situation.
– Public service is needed to be able to assist with independent journalism, fact verification in times of misinformation but also to be able to function as a campfire with a wide range and then resources are needed, says Amanda Lind.
How long is a string
The Green Party’s Amanda Lind says in the debate that the committee’s documents do not see any great opportunities for efficiency and that rather you need to invest in preparedness to be able to have a wide range.
– We don’t see the possibilities for efficiencies, but it will mean cutbacks, says Amanda Lind.
The Sweden Democrats’ Alexander Christiansson says that the allocation of funds is a large part of the investigation, but that the core mission is concretely designed and that it is difficult to define what is meant by “broad”.
– How long is a string? It is a matter of definition what is meant by broad, says Alexander Christiansson.
