There has been a storm around Joost Klein in recent days. On Saturday, he was disqualified from the Eurovision Song Contest final in Malmö after an incident with a photographer in connection with Thursday’s semi-final. An incident that the Swedish police investigated as an illegal threat.
Despite the washing up, Klein appeared at the Eurovision after-party in Malmö on the night of Sunday. A fan posted a picture of himself and the artist on Twitter, and The Express reported that the entire party danced to Klein’s song “Europa”.
The Dutch delegation confirms that Klein went to the after party. After that, the group must have gone out into the Malmön night.
According to the Dutch TV channel RTL everyone in the delegation except Joost Klein then went back to the Netherlands. Klein was initially stated to be staying in Sweden, but on Sunday evening is said to have gone home in a private plane from Roskilde Airport in Denmark and landed at Lelystad Airport, six miles east of Amsterdam, according to RTL.
