3 reasons why you should use team play more often

In Pokémon GO, there are many trainers who hardly use the team play feature. There are good reasons to do it.

What is team play? With the help of the Team Play feature, you can go out and explore the world together with your friends in Pokémon GO. Although the feature has been available in Pokémon GO for a few months, there are still trainers who do not use it.

If you’re one of them, here are some reasons why you should do it. Because it can be really worth it.

1. Stronger charging attacks in raids

Do you often go on raids with your friends? Then you should definitely get together in a team play group. If you challenge a raid boss with your friends in team play, you will receive so-called party power.

This is a bar that you fill up by attacking the raid boss. If the party power is charged, you can activate it and do double the damage with the next charged attack.

You can get an enormous damage bonus from the party power. Not only can it be possible to defeat raid bosses more quickly, but you can even successfully complete a raid with fewer members than you would need without the feature.

2. Obtain Pokémon and Mega Energy

If you and your group play together in team play, you can also complete challenges together. These challenges could be, for example, catching a certain amount of Pokémon or running a certain distance.

Recently there have been new rewards through the Team Play Challenges, some of which are pretty good.

For example, if you run 2 km in team play, you can look forward to meeting Eevee or even Tanhel. The Pokémon can also appear as Shiny. For the challenges Catch 25 Pokémon with Hyper Balls and Defeat 4 Team GO Rocket goons you can even get 10 Mega Energy for Gengar or Gyarados.

So it can be worthwhile to complete the challenges together and collect one or two good Pokémon and mega energy.

3. Competition and fun

Within team play, you can use the team tab to see which of you has caught more Pokémon or covered more kilometers. So you can see straight away who on your team is the better Pokémon trainer.

Competing with friends can also be motivating and, above all, fun. And the last point in particular should never be neglected. After all, the main reason for playing a game should be just that – have fun!

What about with you? Do you use the team play feature regularly or do you plan to give it a try? Feel free to write us your opinion in the comments. By the way, the maximum duration of the team play feature was recently increased.
