(Finance) – Industrial and manufacturing production in the United Kingdom is above expectations, but slowing down compared to the previous survey.
The latest data released byNational Institute of Statistics of Great Britain (ONS) point out that the index of industrial production recorded, in March, an increase of 0.2% on a monthly basis compared to +1% in the previous month and the -0.5% expected by analysts. The trend figure recorded an increase of 0.5% after +1% in February and compared to the +0.3% of the consensus.
There manufacturing production, on a monthly basis, recorded an increase of 0.3% against the -0.5% estimated by analysts and compared to +1.2% in February. The annual variation recorded a +2.3%, above the consensus (+1.8%), after the previous +2.6%.
