At the end of March, Beach Club Klein Scheveningen in Lopikerkapel was declared bankrupt. RTV Utrecht then spoke to 23 people involved and victims. Among them are several couples who would get married at the location on the Lek. They had to make down payments and lost their money.
In mid-April it was announced that former owner Richard Fick had taken over the beach bar again. The municipality of Lopik has not yet issued a permit for this. The bankrupt owner Danny has been missing since then and creditors have been unable to contact him.
