According to the news in the Italian press, a comprehensive effort was carried out today to transport the British-made 2-ton bomb, which was found at the construction site of a building on Alcide de Gasperi street in the city of Viterbo on March 20.
36 THOUSAND PEOPLE WERE EVACUATED
Within the scope of the work, the neighborhood where the bomb was located in the city of Viterbo was declared a red zone, primary and secondary schools in the region were closed and 36 thousand residents were evacuated.
The sensitive work carried out by bomb disposal teams from the Italian army started in the morning.
