The frightening incident took place on Sunday at Jesus’ Dwelling Place Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The church’s pastor, Germany, was assassinated while he was preaching.
The attacker approached Germany, pointed his gun and pulled the trigger, but the gun jammed. Clarence McCallister, the deacon of the church, acted quickly and neutralized the attacker and took the gun.
In the footage captured on the church’s camera, it was seen that Germany, who saw the attacker pulling a gun, quickly threw himself behind the podium, and the attacker turned towards Germany. McCallister then approached the attacker from behind and neutralized him.
“I’M LUCKY TO STILL BE HERE”
Speaking to the US media, Germany said, “I’m lucky to still be here.” Stating that his daughter was also in the church during the service, Germany said, “Even watching my daughter break down after seeing what happened touches people in some way. He didn’t resist me at all when we laid him down. “He apologized to me later when I spoke to him in the police car,” she said.
