Many who work in service professions can probably recognize themselves in meeting a variety of different types of people. And some people like more than others. News24 have talked to Fredrik Borgström who works at a postal agent, who tells what makes customers favorites and what makes them really annoying.

How should one behave to make the store employees’ day a little better? Fredrik Borgström tells us that it is not as difficult as it might sound.
– The best type of customer is of course the one who is pleasant, but a little more concretely, it is the one who has identified his package with bankID and shows the qr code with a smile on his face. Having identified the package with the bankID before you get to the counter is the best thing you can do, because all we have to do then is scan the qr code and then pick up your package, it’s smooth and fast.

Although most are happy and pleasant, not all customers are.
– Of course, the majority are accommodating and pleasant, but there is also the percentage who simply do not want to cooperate with you. Many customers find it very difficult to understand how important it is to have a valid ID with them and that the name must match the name on the package.
If you do not have valid identification or if the name does not match the package, the staff may not hand out the package. Another disturbing problem is that people queuing to pick up packages do not prepare.
– I don’t understand why you don’t have everything prepared so that it goes as smoothly as possible for everyone when you pick up your package. Then it is clear that if you need help finding a number or similar, we are more than happy to help, but it is precisely when you have not prepared anything at all that it feels a little disrespectful to the customers behind.

But which type is the very worst customer?
– The worst type of customer is the one who does not want to listen and cooperate with one. The one who becomes unpleasant when you explain to him that we cannot carry out the matter he has in mind due to various rules we have to follow. For example, when extradition is refused because it has the wrong identification with it.
