What kind of update is this? A major update with 4 new features was recently announced in Pokémon GO. These features have been divided into different segments, most of which have already found their way into the game.
A feature that updated the look of the avatars and the editor for them was very poorly received by large parts of the community. It was even dubbed the worst update in the history of updates.
More than 80% of you want the old avatar back
What kind of survey was that? In the survey we wanted to know from you what your opinion was about the avatar update. As of April 6, 2024 at 12:40 p.m., 2,546 trainers have voted. The result looks like this:
The vast majority of you, about 83%, want the old avatar back. So your opinion is pretty much in line with the reaction to the update that can be found on social media. While about 8% of you think the update is good or great, 8% are not interested in the avatar at all.

It remains to be seen whether Niantic will take the trainers’ feedback to heart and make further changes to the new avatar system. So far it seems to have put very few people in a good mood.
The update was so poorly received by parts of the community that compensation for items of clothing was demanded.
