The fire bug is less dangerous than its name and appearance suggest. It is especially a good helper for the garden. Its diet consists of the sap of dead leaves, dead flies and live or non-living aphids. The only disadvantage is that the fire bug, like many other bugs, can be quite smelly. But no worries! If you leave the bug alone, it won’t stink. They only emit a strong odor when they feel threatened.
