(Finance) – Following the growing alarms about climate change and the crisis in the energy sector due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, nuclear energy is back in the spotlight. In particular, there is much discussion about new technologies to be developed in the medium term such as small modular reactors (SMR and AMR) and fourth generation power plants and, in the long term, fusion, as possible solutions to decarbonise the energy and industrial sectors .

Tuesday 28 May in Rome, ENEA organizes the professional training course continues for journalists entitled “Sustainable nuclear power: research, technologies, scenarios and prospects”, at Europa Experience – David Sassoli. This meeting wants to turn the spotlight on sustainable nuclear power today, illustrating what stage the research is at and what the development prospects are at a national and international level.
