In the Czech Republic, the idea is that the hill will chase new medals.
– I’m hoping for the same result as the last time I played at the WC 2017 in Germany, says Hedman.
That time Tre Kronor won the final against Canada on penalties. Now the World Cup journey begins with the premiere against the USA on May 10.
Victor Hedman’s decision to play in the World Cup means that national team captain Sam Hallam has 15 NHL players in the squad.
Hedman is coming off a strong season. In 78 games in the regular season, he accounted for 76 points (13 goals and 63 assists) and in the playoffs he scored 7 points (5+1) in 5 games.
