Making a statement on this issue, Pandemic Scientific Board Member, Infectious Diseases Specialist Prof. Dr. Yeşim Taşova said, “Mosquitoes are carriers of various microbes. We observe that the fly population increases as the weather warms up. It can cause epidemics, especially in earthquake zones. This issue needs to be addressed seriously and systematically. Timely interventions are important. “For example, our municipalities and the Ministry of Health can take precautions through joint work without missing the larval period,” he said.

Fatma Keser, who said that they could not sleep at night because of flies, said, “When the weather was warm, the flies came out immediately. We call on municipalities, the ministry of health and all other authorities to take action on this issue. “People in Adana were previously dying of malaria due to the abundance of mosquitoes.
