A remarkable claim was made for the smartphone giant Samsung, and it was claimed that some of Samsung’s smartphones limited or reduced the performance of thousands of applications. It was shared that the Samsung software called Game Optimizing Service (GOS) was at the root of this problem, which was at the center of the allegations. However, it was said that the software does not limit the performance of benchmark applications. Now, such a claim has been made for the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi.
XIAOMI PERFORMANCE SHUTTING? INTERESTING CLAIM
John Poole, co-founder of the famous benchmark application Geekbench, claimed from his Twitter account that Xiaomi reduced performance based on application names. According to the news on the Android Authority site, Poole hid the Geekbench application on the Xiaomi Mi 11 as a Fortnite game to prove this claim.
HE SAID THERE WAS A DECREASE IN THE SCORES RECEIVED
Poole also claimed that as a result, single-core performance scores dropped by 30 percent and multi-core performance scores dropped by 15 percent.
The Geekbench co-founder added that he has claimed to have seen similar behavior when the Geekbench app was disguised as Genshin Impact.
Now, the eyes are turned to Xiaomi to respond to John Poole’s claim. The Chinese company is expected to make a statement regarding Poole’s claims.
