As of May 6, Postnord will only empty the majority of its mailboxes every other working day instead of daily. The change is being made for both economic and environmental reasons, writes Postnord in a press release.
“Despite sharply decreasing letter volumes, the number of mailboxes in Sweden has been reduced by only 16 percent since 2010, and this means that many times the mailboxes are empty when our postmen go to empty them,” says Andreas Viefhaus, head of the letter business area in a press release.
