The first details about Assassin’s Creed Hexe have been announced. The play will take place in 16th century Central Europe and deal with the theme of witchcraft.

Ubisoft’s much-anticipated new game Assassin’s Creed Hexe The first official details about it have been shared. According to the statements made by Marc-Alexis Côté, Vice President and Executive Producer of the series, Assassin’s Creed Hexe will offer a different experience from the previous games of the series. This new game developed by Ubisoft Montreal will take place in Central Europe during the 16th century Holy Roman Empire and will focus heavily on the theme of witchcraft.

First Details Announced for Assassin’s Creed Hexe

Assassin’s Creed Hexe is still in the early stages of development and is expected to be released on the Infinity platform in 2026 and offer a more linear gaming experience, but will also include open-world exploration elements like previous games in the series. The game will be based on a single female protagonist, currently called Elsa, who has some supernatural abilities.

Although Elsa’s abilities have not yet been revealed, the resulting images show that while she was being hunted by 16th century German soldiers, she used magic to capture a nearby cat and distracted the soldiers by controlling this cat. The gameplay takes place on cobblestone streets in a dark and gloomy atmosphere.

Sources also state that the game will have a fear system inspired by Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Jack The Ripper DLC. It seems quite logical to implement such a fear system for the game, which takes place during the Witch Trials period in the 16th century, when approximately 80,000 suspected witches were executed.
