PROVINCE OF UTRECHT – There are now more women than men in the city council in Houten, Nieuwegein and Utrecht. Before the elections, this was not the case in any Utrecht municipality. This is evident from figures from the Stem op een Vrouw Foundation, mapped by data press agency LocalFocus. The percentage of women is lowest in the municipal councils of Montfoort, Woudenberg and Bunschoten.
