“I will do it at that time”, Emmanuel Macron talks about his entry into the campaign

I will do it at that time Emmanuel Macron talks

The day after his speech on Europe at the Sorbonne, Emmanuel Macron denied having launched a campaign and having taken advantage of the exercise to plead the cause of his camp with a view to the European elections.

“A word from the President of the Republic.” These are the terms used this Friday April 26 by Emmanuel Macron to qualify his speech on Europe given the day before at the Sorbonne. It must be said that if the Head of State claims to have spoken as “President of the Republic”, his political opponents perceived some barbs directly addressed to them in this speech.

“No one dares to propose exits anymore, neither from Europe, nor from the euro,” Emmanuel Macron rejoiced on Thursday. For him, the nationalists would no longer suggest leaving the “building”, but simply “no longer having co-ownership rules, no longer investing, no longer paying the rent”. A strategy purely and simply dedicated to killing the European project, according to Emmanuel Macron.

Outcry on social networks. On Thursday, the Republicans even seized the National Commission for Campaign Accounts and Political Financing (CNCCFP) and Arcom demanding that this Sorbonne speech be officially deducted from the speaking time of the presidential camp in the European campaign. Traveling this Friday in Strasbourg, the Head of State defended himself, judging that “the voice of France in Europe is at the heart of our diplomacy, of our policy”. And to assure: “The campaign times, if I had to participate in some of them – I have not yet decided – I will do it at that time separately, as I did there ago is five years old.”

Questioned by BFMTV, the Regulatory Authority for Audiovisual and Digital Communication (Arcom), however, provided a slightly different interpretation from that of the president. She believes that the Macron camp’s speaking time must be counted down each time Emmanuel Macron talks about the elections. One thing is certain, the radio and television channels are not done pulling their hair!
