The old Holland Casino building has previously been in the picture as a long-term shelter. Due to various reasons, including fire safety, the duration of the renovation and the large number of people who would be accommodated there, this turned out to be unsuitable. According to the municipality of Utrecht, the place is suitable for providing crisis relief for a short period of four weeks. Additional adjustments are made to make the building fire-safe.
